What do the Cavs do this offseason?
They have a lot of money coming off the books, BUT they already had the second highest team payroll (90 mil). They'll have 20 million off the books and in Wallace & Big Z that's 25 million in expiring contracts to use as trade bait.

The Cavs are in dire need of a quality big man; hell if the Lakers let Odom walk, they could pick him up if they want to remain in luxury tax hell.

Unrestricted free agent big men this offseason:

Rasheed Wallace
Odom
Chris Andersen
Rasho
Mihm
Magloire
Drew Gooden
Marion
the entire jazz' front court

The NBA's dearth of centers is what could prevent Lebron from winning a title for a while. Maybe Sheed could muster enough effort to help the Cavs win, but goddamn that list is ugly. The Cavs are not afraid to spend money, but they have no one to spend it on this summer.

:D

We should meet up at a Giants or Dodgers game one day.

Edit: Make that a Giants game; Giants fans get shot in Dodgertown. :eyes:

5. You don't want to hear me throw out stats such as:
the Dodgers have the best on base percentage of any team in the past century.

10. Their future may not be as bleak as you think
It would be ironic if they got Drew Gooden back but that's not likely.

13. Rashard Lewis has made it pretty obvious what they need.
Someone at the 4 that can defend an opponent taking you off the dribble. Odom seems like he could be an answer, but the money situation isn't good.

I almost think Lebron could log extensive minutes at the 4 spot against smaller teams, but that's not a strategy you enter a season with.
