For the adult sports fan
It's time for the adults to take over this forum.

We know that there are some sports fan who think that the sky is falling when his team loses, or when the other guy's team wins. We know that there some sports fans who cannot stand to look into the human fallacies of a home town hero for fear that it would bring on Judgment Day.

I am a Giants fan and I know it's going to be a long season. But, when it's all over, the sky is still blue and the grass is still green.

Unless Republicans get their way and rising oceans drown us all.

1. I can act like an adult sportsfan on DU! I love Randy Johnson.
But the Metropolitans are my NL team.

2. Hey man...

I think I have it worse than anyone here in terms of my sports teams...but I don't sit and constantly whine about other people's choices of teams to root for. Nor am I going to drown myself because my favorite team sucks.
Unfortunately the sanest voices are often not the loudest voices.
Oh and the people who play for my hometown teams..if they are crooks and jackasses like say Jim Bowden..I'll call em on it. Being a player/member of a hometown team definitely does not give one a free pass to act like a criminal.
