6. Hey Sniffa....
...does it stiLL take effort for you to capitaLize every L that you type or do you do it effortLessLy now?

And hey...bygones. Mike G isn't a fair representation of Pittsburgh fans. You come down here for the Patriots game next year and I'll buy you a beer and a Pirmanti sandwich. How's that for hospitality?

18. 26 time winner
try that. I've seen my team win the world series 4 times in the last ten years. That's pretty good. This Red Sox team has no class whatsoever. Why are they still so fixated on the Yankees. Why can't they enjoy their championship.

19. yawn
heard that alllll winter.

Class? Like having Bucky Dent throw out the first pitch of Game 7 of the ALCS? Or anything that came out of Sheffield's mouth all year? Or Alex "I'll just run him over next time" Rodriguez? Or, hey, maybe it's the guy with the broken hand. Or they guy with the track marks.

I loooove listening to Yankees fans talk about how "classy" their team is.

20. Our team
never mouthed off at the Red Sox after winning our championships. You should be embarrased about how you are acting.

You go off on A-Rod. Varitek was so tough starting a fight and keeping his mask off. He's a big wimp.

The Red Sox are acting bush league.

22. What is the only team to lose a 7 game series being up 3-0?
Let me think.....mmmmmmmmm.

That series will sustain me for a very long time.

I couldn't care less about whiny losers. :)

4. What does it matter?
I mean it's not like the Pirates play in the same league or anything? The Bucs are in all but name a minor league team now like more than half the league.

Why not bitch about how Chelsea is buying the English Premiership this year and how it makes you want to root for Manchester United.

It has about the same relevance.

Let them quibble and spend more on a couple pitchers than the Pirates do on their whole roster. PNC park has more fireworks nights than Fenway. Eat that Boston. :)

8. I rooted for the Red Sox last year. Then they act like THIS.
This is the way you act when you lose.

And BTW, The Pirates actually have a good team this year.

24. This year
I don't know about good, but we'll see. They definatley have some good players in Bay, Perez, Wilson (you know which one)...

Problem is what happens in a year or two when they have to dump all of them to teams like the Yankees.

The Pirates (along with teams like us, ala the Brewers etc) are nothing but farm teams.

13. Wells is an asshole
Edited on Fri Feb-18-05 05:04 PM by MaineDem
Thanks...that link worked.

Wells is an idiot. I'm sorry the Sox signed him. I figure he's out for himself and not representative of whatever team he's signed to.

I'm going to find it difficult to root for him to win. It'll be tough.

Edited to add: Remember, he wasn't on the team last year. (And I wish he wasn't this year.)

Especially when he sucked ass against the Angels in the Divisional Series. Fuck him. Sox can have him. And believe me, Sox fans, you'll regret having him.
