3. I think the moniker is a curse ---
It's like sticking a post it note on your back saying--"Hate me".

8. Dude.
The Skins are WAAAY more functional at this point than the Cowboys. We at least stood pat with a brand new system while you guys just collapsed with the same players and coaches...

16. Since Snyder took over in '99 the Skins have only had 1 more coach than Dallas.
Skins:Norv Turner, Marty Schottenheimer, Steve Spurrier, Joe Gibbs, Jim Zorn (I didn't count Terry Robiskie as he was an interim coach).

Pukes: Chan Gailey, Dave Campo, Bill Parcells, Wade Phillips

Both owners have fired the same number of coaches (2) over that period of time.

15. As The Cowboys Turn
They've turned into more of a soap opera then a football operation.

6. The Steelers aren't my team
And it would be nice if they won a Super Bowl this decade without a lot of help from the refs.

12. But they're Pittsburgh's team...
and the team of the Steelers nation.

I think that all they want and all they need. Some estimates said that 3/4 of the fans in Tampa wore Black and Gold and the same thing happened in Detroit at the Steelers last Superbowl.

Plus Obama said he was a Steelers fan:

Asked if he had a Terrible Towel in the other room, Obama said: "I do, actually. I'm not going to be rubbing it in because we've got some Arizona congressmen here and I may need their vote on the recovery package."

Obama didn't predict a score, but said, "I think the Steelers are going to eek it out in the end."

13. As it should be
Congrats to the Steelers and their fans. But no one team can be considered America's team. That's just silly. I remain loyal to the Eagles (from birth) and the Saints (geographically) regardless of who gets in the Super Bowl. This isn't sour grapes cause I really didn't care who won the game, but I think the Steelers got just a tad assist from the Zebras.

14. I agree that no team is America's team...
I normally root for any team that plays against the Cowboys just because of that pompous statement. But they do have a good looking cheerleader squad.

Or ..doesn't it matter?

19. Interesting Article
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=gallo/090129_steelers&sportCat=nfl

I agree with it that the term "Teamname Nation" is a bit overused now, I do think the Steelers have one up on the Raiders.

How many Raiders Nation bars are there in Peru or Thailand or even Pennsylvania? There appear to be quite a few Steeler Nation bars in the Bay Area...

WHILE there are two bars listed in San Francisco, ABSOLUTELY none mentioned
in Oakland. Do you think they would even dare??? I doubt it..

Then again.. No one will ever have a song as cool as this..

20. I'm sure that's different.
Completely different.

Just like when other teams tried (unsuccessfully) to co-opt that unfortunate marketing gimmick that was foisted on the Boys. Very, very different. (cause they failed, I guess?)

Anyway, maybe now that the Steelers have the most SB wins, people will get over their jealous, disturbingly obsessive fixations on us.
:scared:
