THE SUPERBOWL THREAD: STEELERS VS CARDINALS
Edited on Sun Feb-01-09 04:10 PM by AsahinaKimi

ok, since I didn't see one yet, thought I would start it. At this very minute THE GAME is hours away and I probably will still root for the underdog, though I can't stand Kurt Warner. The Steelers are favored by 7 points..and according to ESPN's lovely country map..only Arizona thinks they will win. Hehe.. anyway.. Come on guys..
whats your thoughts..

oh and this is pretty cool.

2. My prediction: Stillers by 20...
Edited on Sun Feb-01-09 05:42 PM by BlooInBloo
Rationale: I don't think Warner will be on his feet long enough for Fitzgerald to be much of an issue.

But we'll see - that's why they play the game, so they say.

3. USA Air crew to be honored...
Edited on Sun Feb-01-09 06:07 PM by AsahinaKimi
ESPN said that the flight crew that landed the plane in the river in NYC will be honored before
the National Anthem. Cool!

every time I see him I still remember his fumble which cost the 49ers a chance at their third straight Super Bowl.

6. Yeah but over all...
Edited on Sun Feb-01-09 06:35 PM by AsahinaKimi
He was a great addition to the 49ers. I used to like Wendell Tyler but he had
big time fumbles that hurt the Niners as well.

7. Hines Ward is not 100%.
He didn't explode up the field, after that first catch, like he normally would, and he really looked reluctant to try to cut upfield.

If the QUARTERBACK is running over your d-lineman, you're in for a long day.

Just sayin.

11. Steelers draw first blood..
Field goal instead of going for it?
3-0. I am still wondering why the Cards who won the coin toss chose not
to receive?

12. Utter and complete pwnage. If the Cards can't get the ball away from Stillers offense...
Then this is gonna be the Worst Superbowl Ever.

Pitt not going for it after the Rothesberger challenge was upheld was a bad omen right there.

20. Warner is winning the goat award so far
His passes are off, he holds on to the ball to long, and isn't mobile. Other than that he is having one hell of a game.

33. Fantastic game,
but then I'm biased toward by Steelers. They did what they had to do.

Arizona played the game of their lives. Their defense played great, especially their D-line. Dockett was a monster out there.
