Does anyone here watch the March Madness?
Knowing that Barack Obama is a basketball fanatic, I wonder if he will miss all those exciting games when it first begins, and all the big teams get to play the "little" teams, and there are always 1 or 2 upsets in the first round?

Personally, I am a Kentucky Wildcat fan, a member of the BBN (Big Blue Nation), but the Wildcats seem to have an identity problem, much like the GOP. They still do not have a set starting lineup this late into the season. They have all the potential in the world but they have to figure out how to tap it?

1. Yup - should be good - the 1 and 2 seeds are very evenly matched.

down time and needs some relaxation time. Plus, if he's really tied up, that's why they invented the TIVO

6. but of course, being from Kentucky and a graduate of the OTHER great
Kentucky Basketball Dynasty, Kentucky Wesleyan with 9 Division II championship trophies and I don't know how many regional and runner up trophies. Purple Nation here. (we didn't even HAVE a football team)

President Obama may have better access in the White House than ever before, providing he can just steal the time. I bet he didn't get to have a marathon of the first round when he was in the Senate either.

Wonder if he prefers Northwestern, Illinois, SIU or if he just declares neutrality and roots for Notre Dame ? Columbia and Harvard aren't going to be in that tournament anyway most likely..of course he could root for Hawaii if they make it.

9. My husband does. He doesn't go for any one specific team but likes to choose
one of the underdogs.

13. How about a UK - U of L final this year?
I still think the regional finals in 1983 was the most intense and exciting game ever played in college basketball. Louisville won 80-68 in overtime but they had trailed by 10 with only minutes to play and threw a suffocating full court press on UK to tie the game at the end of regulation. That game was the first time the teams had played since 1959 since Coach Rupp had refused to play Louisville.
