Here it comes - Duke/UNC, Wednesday night at 9
on yer Raycom/Jefferson Pilot presenter or ESPN.

Alright tarholes - on paper you guys take this one. It's gonna be tight, tho. And Williams v May - you don't get to see a battle like that often. Cameron's gonna be fuggin NUTS tomorrow night.

In all honesty, I think the best outcome anyone could hope for is a tight, tense ballgame, in which somehow Dick Vitale and Billy Packer both suffer horrible, grisly deaths. Not sure which one of 'em we're stuck with tomorrow. Prolly Vitale. I HATE having to watch basketball with the sound off.

2. Jeez - I didn't know Wake beat the 'holes
That's the kinda thing they keep hush-hush here in Chapel Hillsborough. And I only hate yer team a little for handing Duke that loss. Not NEARLY as much as I hate Mary-land. ;-)

3. I can't wait
This game is always great. I think Vitale might spontaneously combust in his exuberance. Tonight isn't too shabby either - BC at ND, UF at UK, and Illinois at UM.

4. LMFAO at yer "grisly deaths" line! Oh, if only!
I'm gonna be at Cameron Indoor tonight.

And, as usual, I will also TIVO the game so I can replay all the bullshit calls.

It's gonna be one HECK of a game this year!

5. woo hoo!
this is the time of the year I enjoy most...

My husband and I have to watch the game in separate rooms (he's a tar hole fan). Since my team plays at home tonight, I get to watch the game on the big screen TV... of course, next time I'll be watching it on the smaller TV.

I too am curious to see if Dickie V with self combust... God, I miss Cameron's atmosphere... there's no place like it in the world (and I've been to pretty much all major professional sports events in the U.S. and Europe, including soccer world cups, F1 races, etc.).

8. But... but... but...
WTF local station carries RJP anymore? Is that WRAL? Don't tell me I hafta to the frantic 9p channel flipping thing. If I miss tipoff, I'll drive down to Cameron and pop Vitale's zit-lookin' head myself.

9. Ugh
UNC looked extremely sloppy. If they could have made FTs, or if Felton didn't turn it over every 2 minutes, they could have won. I expected more discipline from a Roy Williams team. They have all the talent in the world, but need to calm down a little. This Dook team isn't as dominating as recent years, but can beat anyone if Redick is on.

10. BOTH teams looked sloppy tonight!
And I've noticed the same thing the last 3 Duke games I've been to; It's like they've been GREASING the ball since New Years!
I've seen more easy steals and bobbled balls in the last 4 weeks than I've seen in the prior 5 years!
Wazzup with that?

I thought that EITHER team could have won by 10 if a single player had really been "on"...but no one was, and it was a messy street-fight of a game.

But as far as a 'rivalry' game, I suppose it doesn't get much better. Close all the way, hard-fought, and then it all comes down to the last play...good times, good times!

12. True
It was definitely a good game, albeit sloppy on both sides. You can't ask for more than a close game that comes down to the last play. Of course, I hoped UNC would score (or at least get a shot off), but they have no one but themselves to blame.

I do think the ACC is overrated this year. From what I've seen, Wake looks like the best team there. UNC is the most talented, but plays out of control. It's great to have an up tempo style, but they have way too many turnovers. Duke has a good starting 5, but no pure PG and no depth thanks to the NBA draftees. I still can't figure out what is wrong with GT. They had everyone back from a Final 4 team, but are still struggling.
