Cowboys Acquire Lions WR Roy Williams for 3 Draft Picks

Dallas' 1st,3rd, and 6th round picks for Williams and Detroit's 7th next year.

I think the Lions got by far the better end of the deal. The Lions need help in nearly every area. Maybe they can use those extra picks to build up both lines (You know, like good teams do). Getting a QB that can be consistent at the pro level wouldn't hurt either. Maybe with the Millen era over they'll actually draft like competent judges of talent. They certainly couldn't do worse.

As for the Cowboys, with their problems in pass defense, I think maybe they would've been better served going after a defensive back, especially with Pacman suspended for at least the next four games. An injury-prone receiver (albeit a good one) wasn't the final piece that was going to get them a title.

1. Great deal for the Lions!

I'm not a Lions fan, but I hate to see them suffer more. I was very happy that Matt Millen finally got the boot (took long enough, sheesh). Roy Williams is good, but last season we paid attention to him during a few games we saw...he caught our attention because he definitely wasn't trying in a number of cases (and not when he was not part of the play either).
