Pre-season superbowl picks????
I realize that I am an "outsider" here, because I don't post much, but I come check the sports board after almost every sporting event. Football season kicks off on my birthday weekend, and I am super excited. I was just curious about everyones predictions for the superbowl this year.

Me, Cowboys 31 Patriots 24

No basis other than I am a huge Cowboy fan, and I think this is our year.

13. You and I have FINALLY found a topic we can agree on!
My favorite teams are the Washington Redskins and whoever is playing the Cowboys.

I want to start ATMA... America's Team, My Ass!

30. It was NFL films in the late 70's. And proves they must be America's Team
If they can't stop obsessing about it. When you write hate books on teams, then there has to be a lot of attention on a team. And that proves that the MSM is in the tank against the Cowboys.

18. With what's-his-face, you know, that guy from "The Kill",
throwing another ugly late pick, just like in last year's NFC championship!

Of course, it'd have to be to a linebacker or something, the 'Aints seemingly having decided to do away with the archaic notion of a "secondary"... :eyes:

16. Dude.
We got into the playoffs just like the Boys last year. We lost so did the Boys in the first round, sooo who really had the better year, hmmm? Sounds like a draw to me..At least we weren't heavy favorites at home...

12. I Do Not Think So
First I do not think the Colts will beat the Patriots this year. Second, It seems the Patriots have the number of the Chargers. It seems the Patriots can beat the Chargers under almost any circumstances. Third, with Sean Merriman willing to play on a bad knee and the team willing to let him it seems things might go bad for the team during the season. In addition, even with Merriman the Chargers defense did not seem to be anywhere near as good as the Giants defense so I think the Patriots can beat both the Colts and the Chargers during the playoffs. So, I contend, dispite having a team that many think is weaker this year than last, the Patriots will win the Superbowl this year.

I don't think San Diego is gonna make it, because with his knee, i doubt he lasts the season.

25. Don't drink the ESPN kool-aid on that
He played the entire last 6 games of the season, through the AFC Championship game, and the pro bowl with that exact same knee "condition."

Don't make a huge deal out of that just because some nimrod ESPN reporter was bored and decided to blow it way out of proportion.

Why not? If that's the matchup, everyone will be green with envy at my prognosticating skills.

Oh, and the Lions will win 56-14.

24. Pats beat the Saints in the SB.
A few other predictions, just for the hell of it...

Jacksonville will win the AFC South and Indy will be a wildcard.

The Jets will just miss the playoffs when Cleveland wins @ Pittsburgh (who already clinched AFC NORTH) to take the other AFC WC on the last week of the season.

The Chargers have an injury plagued season and still win the AFC West.

Dallas wins the NFC East, Eagles get a WC, the Giants just miss the playoffs.

Minnesota wins the NFC North, GB gets a WC.

NO wins the NFC South.

Arizona wins the NFC West.
