If they raced it again, I would pick the other guy. A frontrunner of that caliber has a huge advantage.

I'm still astonished. I was rooting for Phelps all along but after the race I was conflicted. That was one of the most unjust results I've ever seen. I compared it to a head bob in horse racing the other day. I'm not sure I've ever seen a horse lose in that fashion.

In '92 I attended all the swimming events in Barcelona. It's incredible how random the finishes are. That year the American women were being out touched in race after race and it was maddening. I'm amazed the sport doesn't have a more sophisticated way of hitting the wall, instead of guesswork whether to glide or take another quick stroke.

4. Unjust? Phelps won, there was no doubt after the video was
broken down frame by frame...even the second play guy admitted it.
