Prophecy: Red Sox will win today
Edited on Sun Jul-13-08 08:45 AM by SpiralHawk
Sox will pluck Orioles again today in matinee, final game before All Star fiesta.

Sox are catching up to those Devilish Rays (name change or not). Gonna be a doozy of a second-half of a season all the way around...

MEET THE NEW BOSS. SAME AS THE OLD BOSS
From Boston.com

The Red Sox have spent the last week crafting an answer to all those who, bedazzled by the Tampa Bay Rays, hastened to proclaim a new world order in the American League East.

It goes something like this: Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

Not that anyone would ever get fooled again.

A week ago, the Sox left New York five games behind the Rays, who had won seven in a row.

This morning, while basking in the top-to-bottom pleasure of administering a 12-1 beating to the Baltimore Orioles last night before 37,539 in Fenway Park, the Sox are within a half-game of reclaiming the lead in the AL East, with one game left before the division races take a respite for the All-Star break.

1. Sox could be in first by the All Star break

I know there are many here who hate this news but it gladdens this old heart.

But we all know how disappointing the second half can be. Time will tell. Hopefully Dice K has a good game today and the offense wasn't used up yesterday.

Sox could have a hunk of 1st Place at the All Star Extravaganza !

Nostradamus prophesied that a Connecticut preppy nitwit, with an AWOL National Guard record and membership in an 'elite' occult Skull & Boner cabal, would One Day steal the 'kingship' of a Newe Lande. With a cabal of chickenhawk cronies, said nitwit would bringe said Newe Lande to disgrace and ruin. Quatrain x23BQ, I would guess.

And I prophesied that the Sox would win today. I'd say that makes us even: 1 for 1.
Just call me Spiral Hawkstradamus !
