Thank God BB is walking fine.
Walking back through the tunnel and through the paddock he is walking good.

KD said he just had no horse.

IMHO he was not fit.

3. No. He did not train coming up to this race.

He missed too much time when the quarter crack popped out.
He was least bothered by the heat than anyone else in the field.
He had almost no sweat on him.

6. Steroids?
Do you think it might have had something to do with Big Brown being taken off the steroids?

8. No.
He lacked conditioning and no amount of steroids will make up for lost training.

10. I doubt it...
Dutrow said he gave BB an injection on the 15th of every month. He got last month's injection he hasn't gotten this months because it's not the 15th yet. I take everything Dutrow says with a grain of salt.

4. I see the haters are starting in
Why are they racing him? It must be the quarter crack..good thing it didn't kill him because ya know quarter cracks are potentially life threatening.....:eyes:

7. As Randy Moss pointed out, Touch Gold won the Belmont with hooves in worse shape.
I love when people who know shit from shinola tell me about horse racing. Heck, *I* know shit from shinola. That's why I listen to real experts. :)

...I've found myself holding my breath until every horse crosses the finish line safely the last few weeks.

12. Ah, OK....
Missed training, breeding and a quarter crack. A mile and a half is a long ways for a Boundry.

19. I was thinking about your Boundry remark the last few days
You mentioned that pedigree factor several times the past few months.

Good call, although I tend to agree that the injury and missed time were the pivotal factors.

Every time an athlete is said to be better than ever after a recent injury it's absolute garbage. No doubt there'll be talk in the next few days that Tiger Woods' knee is in better shape than any time in years, after the surgery. I know the principals have to talk themselves into it as part of the confidence necessity of sports at highest level, but it's insulting to fans.

13. I think you're correct
Too bad, would've loved to see it happen today. ABC crew also mentioned the "no steroids" since April 15 angle. Makes ya wonder, but who knows now. I don't think it was the hoof, and the reports seem good so far on BB from the barn. I wonder if Dutrow will have something to say. That was a rough ride into the first turn there, wasn't it?

Nice words by the New York governor on Upset and Man O' War.

Let's hear it for Tiznow, sire of Da'Tara!!!!!

14. Tiznow ?
Isn't that the horse that pulled off a huge upset in the BC classic? Ironic.

17. He won the Classic twice
In 2000 over Giant's Causeway at Churchill Downs and in 2001 over Sakhee at Belmont, defeating two great European horses. I don't know if it was a huge upset for those Classics, but come to think of it I doubt he was the favorite in either race. I love Tiznow.
