Ted Kennedy stomps Arlen Specter like a bug.
“With the war in Iraq raging on, gasoline prices closing in on $4 a gallon, and Americans losing their homes at record rates to foreclosure, the United States Senate should be focusing on the real problems that Americans are struggling with," Kennedy said through a spokesman in response to a question posed by a Globe reporter. "I’m looking forward to another great Patriots season where they can let their play on the field speak for itself.”

Hate the Pats as you please, they certainly earned it, but Arlen Specter is an ass, and the Senate has more pressing matters to address.

Just my humble o.

P.S. It'd be great if Specter would shove himself up his own ass to such a degree that he actually disappears. I'd pay to see that shit.

1. "Let their play on the field speak for itself"
Thats funny. Their play has been speaking for itself for sometime, the NFL thinks giving a chumpchange fine to a millionaire is sufficient punishment for their indiscretion and we all should be just so overjoyed that billichick is waiting in the wings to let his teams play speak for itself for yet another season.

Set them down for a season, maybe then someone would sit up and take notice. Or just throw the fucking rulebook away and every team could have a billichick. Every team that wants to be just like the Pats.

9. Why do you suggest they sit out the year?
Belichick and the coaching staff was responsible. IF they sat out the year, and the Pats fired Belichick, he'd be working the sidelines for some other team while the Pats were not playing and so would most of the other coaches that were responsible for the cheating. And hey, if you're a coach in a contract year, it's okay to cheat because you'll get a good contract from a new team, which will cover your fine, while your old team sits out the year?

Punish the fans, sponsors, advertisers, make other teams redo their schedule, and let those that were directly responsible get away? I don't get it.

You want to get people to sit up and notice, how about a LIFETIME ban for all coaches who participate in such activities, or become aware of such activities and don't immediately inform the league, like they're supposed to do in baseball for gambling. That would certainly get noticed.

2. The Senate has better things to do. Too bad we have half a hard ass for commissioner.
He apparently has no problem throwing the book at players.

Make it rain and your ass is gone.

Put the integrity of the game at stake and the league will back you.

4. Senator Spector should instead investigate the true crime,
which is the Patriots stealing the 49ers' draft pick.

New England plays in the Super Bowl, my team finished 1-29, or whatever they were last season, and you guys get our high draft pick.

HIGHWAY ROBBERY

We have a special ride for you Will when you come to San Francisco this season to watch the Pats

You can ride in the back with Belichick.
