1. Boston might be in trouble this time
It sure looks like Cavs could steal one in the Garden.

3. Time will tell
Both teams are very good. They split the season, 2-2. I certainly don't expect Lebron James to go 4 for 18 from the floor again. Then again, I don't expect Paul Pierce and Ray Allen to go a combined 4 for 18 from the floor again, either. What I do expect is another exciting game tomorrow night.:bounce:  :woohoo: :applause:

9. Steal one in the Garden?
Maybe in game 5, if there is one. So far, though, the Celtics are looking pretty damn good at home. We'll see what happens in Ohio.

4. Come the week of Sept. 11th, 2008 . . .
Edited on Thu May-08-08 07:26 AM by HughBeaumont
It will mark approximately 16,000 days since Cleveland has won a title in any of it's three sports.

That's 2,285 WEEKS.

What is it that other teams have that Cleveland's teams always seem to be missing?

Is it luck? Is it non-inept sports management? Is it great drafts (which, again, is luck)? Cohesiveness? Coaching?

Or is it just that other teams plain and simple WANT it more?

Does every athlete besides LeBron James in this city not have a stitch of killer instinct?

5. IMO it points to coaching/management/ownership
That's where the killer instinct has lacked.

6. or maybe it's just Cleveland
if you were young and rich, would you want to live in Cleveland? I know it has come a long way, but still. It takes a player like a LeBron to make it attractive. It's the same thing that happened in GReen Bay, what young, rich black guy wants to live in freakin' Green Bay? the place is whiter than a McCain rally. But then you get a guy like Favre, and people want to play with him, so they come.

7. A good point...
I think David Ortiz spends a good amount of time around Green Bay (has a house in Kaukauna, Wisconsin), but his wife's from the area.

8. They're getting the players
The coaches just never seem to have the right game plans or the GMs leave the teams one or two players short.

10. For the record, Celts win Game 2 in Boston
Celtics again use defense to subdue Cavaliers
Celtics 89, Cavaliers 73.

Boston leads best-of-seven series 2-0

The Ottawa Citizen
Published: Friday, May 09, 2008

BOSTON - Paul Pierce scored 19 points as the Boston Celtics' defense dominated for the second consecutive game on the way to an 89-73 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers last night in Game 2 of their NBA Eastern Conference semifinal.

Ray Allen broke out of a slump with 16 points and Kevin Garnett had 13 for the Celtics. Cavaliers star LeBron James again struggled, finishing with 21 points on 6-for-24 shooting.

Game 3 is Saturday in Cleveland...
