Oscar de la Hoya to buy the Dynamo
Ok, 25% of AEG's 50% share, but still. interesting choice.

1. Minor league soccer
is all the MLS is. I don't even watch it, give me the EPL anytime.

2. sure
of course, then wouldn't Serie A or La Liga be the majors, since they hold both European club championships? so no need to be hostile.

But then, I find that my season tickets to the Madjeski simply weren't all that convenient to use, turns out I had to fly to England all the time. So I got tickets to DC United instead, and I am perfectly happy with it.

3. Sorry
not trying to be hostile, just stating the facts. First off, you know as well as I that European club championships change from year to year, the EPL has more than held their own. Second, I've tried watching the MSL on ESPN and FSC but the combination of poor uninspired play and the sight of more than half empty venues, often with NFL lines on the pitch, turned me away.

4. it's not a televised game
the in person experience is ten times better, especially in a place like Houston, Chicago or DC (my choice) where there are people, knowledgable fans and great supporters clubs. is it Euro Footy? no, but then Wayne Rooney makes more than 80% of the players in MLS combined. And the US is producing some quality players (and not just keepers now) and the way to keep that developing is by growing and maintaining a domestic league. MLS just isn't deep enough yet, but it is coming. DC United, for instance, has a roster of 18 senior players and up to ten developmental players (who would be on B sides in Europe) and will play a minimum of 51 games over the next ten months, with a maximum of 67. that's a lot of games with such a small roster. so of course it drags sometimes. but the good games are as good as anything in the CCC or Serie B.
