WTF? Denver team upsets league leading team from Boston.
Nuggets 124, Celtics 118

Sorry, I don't follow basketball. Is this significant or something?

:wtf:

1. Not Completely
The Nuggets upsetting the Celtics is not necessarily that big of a deal. The Nuggets are a Western Conference team. A number of people will tell you that the Western Conference is a better conference than the Eastern Conference. It is possible that the only way this is significant is that a number of sports reporters were looking to the Celtic's Western swing (playing a number of games against Western Conference teams) as a test of if the Celtics were actually as good some thought.

I think a number of sports reporters are waiting to see what will happen when Boston goes to play the Texas teams, especially the San Antonio Spurs. People may now be paying more attention to a game between Boston and the Mavs (Dallas Mavericks),if they play again this season, now that the Mavs have Jason Kidd. If the Celtics lose to the Spurs that might be a significant thing in that a number of sports reporters think the NBA Championship will have to go through the West. In addition, some still think it will have to go through San Antonio.

2. The Celtics were 16-0 against the West until this game.
So it's an interesting event...but not hugely important just yet.

5. But the East won the All Star Game
Even though the West was favored. So maybe they aren't better.

Although the Pistons lost last night too. Probably because three starters got significant time in the All Star Game so they were tired....
