I think there should be a major (BCS) bowl in Columbus, Ohio or
Ann Arbor or Sleepy Valley (or whereever Penn State plays.) I wonder what the conversation will be after LSU or Bama or Florida or any of the other nine goes north to play the obligatory (Big Ten team in the championship game, for no apparent reason) and whips their butts in snow storms year after year. What will we talk about then?

I think Big Ten fans should contact the conference and push for such action to be taken. Surely to God the combined powers that be at the Big Ten Schools has some pull with the NCAA.

1. Southern schools play in northern bowls, northern schools play in southern bowls
That way all the states can benefit from the tourism. The airlines can be the major sponsors.

2. I appreciate your business acumen my friend.....
As per tourism and airlines, New Orleans isn't helped much when LSU is in a bowl game. They are in New Orleans most of the time during the year. Bartenders in the Quarter get happy feet when two teams from far away are schedueled to come to town.

3. Hmm. I like that idea. Better yet, rotate between
Green Bay, Cleveland, Chicago, and yes NEW YORK!!

Last weekend in December for a championship in Giant Stadium! Talk about a great market.

Gotta love seeing the Miami Hurricanes, USC Trojans, and LSU Tigers try and play in sub 50 degree weather!

5. Great idea (by me) indeed
So Big ten get hot and make it happen. Your loyalties are all wrong my Friend. Are you a masochist? Is that the one who likes to receive pain? The SEC champ would beat whichever Big Ten team they played whereever the game was played, regardless of the weather conditions. I cannot speak for USC or Miami.

Hey throw Washington DC into the rotational mix as well. And Buffalo.

7. Something I learned living in Florida lots of years.....
People from Akron and Michigan and Indiana and such...like going to Florida in the winter. Especially when the sky is as gray as a battleship for about 40 straight days up where they live.

People from up there like to retire and move to Florida.

But I never met anyone in Florida who just couldn't wait to retire and move to Akron.
Nor anyone who wanted to vacation in the winter up there either, unless to visit relatives.

But if you held a big game up in Minnesota or some damn place and Arkansas, or Florida or LSU had a team in it.... they'd send 50,000 fans regardless.

9. Hey bowl games have got to be fair
If a bowl is in the south or indoors, or in really nice weather then a Big Ten team will have a decided disadvantage. So we gotta be fair by having the Tundra Bowl where a Big Ten team will totally destroy any and all challengers.
