3 games. June 19-21. Individual game prices not full season tickets.

This makes me sick. The Yankees suck this year.

There is talk of a boycott of those games. But not because of the prices, because the Rockies suck worse.

I'm going to the Royals game tomorrow. This cartoon is dead on:

3. the Nats shouldn't be charging premium prices for anything
if they can't be bothered to spend money on players, they shouldn't charge more to see teams that will. Please, they managed to draw 82,000 for a three game set against the despised Orioles? a combined geographic area (including Ballmer) of over 8 million manages to pull in 82,000 for a rivalry series? pathetic.

4. There was a letter to the editor about the HUGE fees for buying tickets online...
but, evidently, much of this is league mandated.

The League should make it easier/less expensive to buy tickets to lousy teams.

6. baloney
ticket prices are set by the team, and since the only place to buy tickets without paying the huge surcharges is at the RFK box office, whcih is open only during normal business hours, people have no choice but to pay them. you get charged $1.50 per ticket to get them as a .pdf! that's ticketmasterlike ridiculousness. I know it's common, and that Dan Snyder has conditioned the DC area to absurdities like this, but I know people who are just pissed off at them for picayune stuff like that. you can pay more in fees for a bleacher ticket bought in advance than the ticket itself cost, even when you are doing the printing yourself.

2. The ratings are high for NY vs. NY, and NY (either) vs. Boston
and Boston vs. the Cubs also is good.

Fox couldn't believe the surge in ratings when the Yanks, Sox and Cubs were all in the playoffs.

5. Is this the future of baseball -- selective pricing due to winning percentage?
