Not only didn't you show the player introductions. Not only didn't you show the National Anthem being sung so I could yell "play ball!" You had damn interference in the video broadcast and your sound cut out all through the game!

3. What do you expect re the National Anthem?

They don't even show it on Fox! When hockey playoffs roll around, I watch as much as I can on Canadian TV - if it's international, they show both anthems. I absolutely don't understand why our stations don't show them. They don't mind plastering the flag all over everything, but apparently the anthem cuts into their commercials.

6. I like to sing along to both of them.

The first time I was at a hockey game in Canada (Vancouver BC) after 9/11 - November 2001 - the Canadians all stood and sang our anthem too. They also pulled out and waved little American flags and when it came to "land of the free" they all broke into loud cheers. It was quite moving.

8. Not only that but it shouldn't be Opening Day

The Cincinnatti Redlegs were the original pro baseball franchise and should always open before anyone else. And Opening Day should have all teams playing as well. The Sunday night opener is a made for ESPN thing and needs to be discontinued at once.
