The N.F.L. Is Reviewing the Behavior of Pacman Jones

Pacman Jones has drawn interest from the police at least 10 times since the Tennessee Titans made him their top draft pick in 2005.

Jones has drawn interest from the police at least 10 times since the Titans made him their top draft pick in 2005. He most recent brush with the police was in connection with a shooting at a strip club in Las Vegas on Feb. 19 in which a man was paralyzed. Jones was questioned by the police but was not arrested. (He had $8,000 in 1's. The strippers started fighting over the money and all hell broke loose and a guy is not paralyzed--this is what I hear)

Jones is scheduled to appear in court in Fayetteville to answer subpoenas for felony and misdemeanor obstruction of justice charges. The police said yesterday that Jones took a swing at officers after his car was stopped during a security check in February 2006.

Jones has been arrested four other times; the charges were dismissed each time. His lawyer, Manny Arora, said that Jones had done nothing wrong. “He’s just made some poor decisions with the people he’s associated with, and they’re trying to drag him down,” Arora said.

1.  a real slimy character..
he needs to be out of football. But can someone answer a question about something Pacman did. If those of you have not picked up on the "sue" in "turtlensue" I am a woman and have never been to a strip club. I heard that this guy started trouble by making it "rain" on the strippers with 8,000 0r 80,000dollars (again I heard both) brought in a garbage bag for "visual effects only". And when the strippers or managers (I heard both) picked up the money he got mad and a fight started which resulted in a shooting. A little different from the OP post but I wanted to know if this rain is some sort of weird tradition? If you throw money around like that shouldn't you expect it to be picked up? I don't understand. I heard the story from the manager of the club and his account sounded pretty believable for the most part.

2. I actually thought it was strange that he would take 1's
maybe that is why. I would think that he could deal with throwing out 10's or maybe 20 here and there (you know if you felt some sort of special bond with the performer).

I have never seen the "rain" thing but I don't have that kind of disposable income nor am I asked to frequent that level of "gentleman's club" anymore (or ever). For $8K well let's just say I don't understand what he was doing sitting in the bar.

4. New Song
I may be wrong, but I think the rain thing might be new and based on a new song. If you ever listen to rap music you may hear the song by Fat Joe and Lil Wayne called "Make it Rain". It does have a line in it that says "I make it rain on them" so maybe that is what Pacman Jones was trying to do. Maybe it is a tradition, but I think you should try to look up the video and see what is going on in the video. It is possible that Jones was just trying to copy what was going on in the video. I would think people would expect people to pick up the money. Maybe Jones thought the people there had heard the song and realized that he was just joking. However, if I had been him I would have informed the club workers that I would be throwing up money, but I did not want anyone to pick it up.

6. sounds plausible and
like something this idiot would do. But since I loathe rap music I will trust your opinion there. Its also possible he did say something to the manager and thats why he got mad.Still incredibly stupid though. We could easily have a top 10 athletic idiots per week like the top 10 conservative idiots.:eyes: :dunce:

5. The Song
I am almost certain Jones was copying the song. I did not watch the video in that my internet connection in not fast enough to watch the full video without it stopping to buffer, but I did see a posted clip in with money was being thrown in the air. I guess Jones thought that since noone picked up the money in the video noone would pick up the money in the club. Either that or as I said before Jones just thought people had heard the song or seen the video and realized he was just copying the rappers in the video.
