Terrell Owens spits in player's face.
Hall angry that Owens spit in his face
By GEORGE HENRY, Associated Press Writer

Sun Dec 17, 0:05 AM

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Roma throws a pass against ...
ATLANTA - DeAngelo Hall has always considered Terrell Owens to be friend. They would talk on the phone and playfully taunt each other.

Not anymore. Not after Owens spit in Hall's face.

``He had a couple of nice catches,'' said Hall, the Atlanta Falcons' Pro Bowl cornerback. ``You expect that. He's a great player. Right before the first punt, though, we kind of got in each other's face, talking back and forth, and I lost all respect for him when he spit in my face.''

God I hate this guy.

1. Big deal over nothing, as always with TO
Butkus spit on players almost every game, and he's widely loved. We have players hoarding guns in their house and getting their best friends killed in nightclubs, we have two basketball teams breaking down into a fistfight and getting both teams ejected because one team had hurt feelings... and all I keep hearing is how TO lost his temper and spit at someone. He didn't start a fight or punch the guy in the nuts or rip his helmet off and spike his face, he didn't even lie about it (and he easily could have), he apologized after it... Yeah, he's Satan, all right.

2. So just because other people have done worse things, spitting is
someone's face is not inappropriate? And come on, T.O's apologies are a dime a dozen. He dedicates his career to causing controversy and pissing people off, and then issues some lame apology and a bullshit excuse.

3. Not how I see it
I have yet to see TO do anything worse, or even as bad, as many other players do every year without any controversy. It's all media hype. They've decided to make TO the bad-guy wrestler, so everything he does gets blown out of proportion. Follow ANYONE as closely and with the same spin, and they will look just as bad. Probably worse. Hell, McNabb lied about calling TO when he was in the hospital, and the media shrugged it off.

And I felt that way about TO when he was with the 49ers and the Eagles--two of my team's biggest rivals.

4. Owens claims that McNabb never called him, so McNabb is the liar?
Right.

10. Notice how fast McNabb produced records to back him up?
He didn't. Yes, McNabb is the liar. Owens is many things, but a liar isn't one of them. If he were, he'd have a lot fewer problems.

15. Produced records? Are you kidding?
He's a football player trying to win games for his team and trying to forget about Owens, despite all T.O'S efforts to be on the front page. He doesn't care if Owens tries to make him out to be a liar, he knows the truth and he knows that Owens is just trying to get him to forget about football.

22. No, are you kidding? To prove he was being lied about? Phone bills, for instance?
What would you do if someone you considered an enemy accused you of lying about something like that? I'd pull out my phone bill and show someone where I had called him. It would take a couple of minutes, it would prove my point, and it would label the other guy a liar. McNabb would have done that if he'd been able to.

23. It would also open the door for T.O to make up some other bullshit.
McNabb is smart enough to just drop it. Like you said, Owens is just an enemy who accused him of lying. He doesn't care what Owens says, and he realizes that almost no one is going to take him at his word, because he's such an ass.

9. I agree with you
The NFL exists in a pretty warped universe when TO (who AFAIK has not done anything worse than run his mouth excessively) gets more grief than players who are involved in criminal wrondoing. ESPN invents most of the so-called TO controversies anyway.

6. He is a no-class scumbag.
Great player, horrible person. That's a cardinal rule in football he just broke. No one respects him as a person except the other ultra scumbag from Dallas, Michael Irvin.

12. Number one in reception TDs, number 7 in total yards. That's impressive.
His impact on a team is even more impressive. He draws defenders, leaving other players open. That's one reason his numbers are a little down.

He also leads the league in dropped passes, although several of those came in a game where he played with a broken hand. Even now his hand is still healing.

TO has no humility whatsoever. Marques Colston (NO) a rookie, would have had better stats than TO, but he missed 3-4 games

LT ANY DAY!!

14. He's not that bad, it's all media hype.
What's he really done that's so bad? He's complained about his bosses, whined about the media treating him unfairly. Now he's spit at a guy who has been ragging on him all week, and who is a much bigger asshole than TO could ever hope to be. He didn't even deny it afterwards, he admitted it, apologized publicly, and gave Hall's son a jersey afterwards to apologize. Okay, yeah, the gift shows his detachment from reality, but it's still not the actions of a bad man.

As for Colston, he's a great player in an offense that gets a lot of balls to him. That doesn't make TO a better or worse player, or person.

21. No, but I wouldn't welcome someone screaming in it, either.
Which is what DeAngelo Hall admits he was doing. Would you like that, having someone screaming in your face? What would your reaction be?

In an evironment where most of these "men" throw punches or start some form of physical violence, I'd personally like to commend TO for not responding in violent fashion.

11. TO's an amazing talent, and really I couldn't care less about what he says...
...but if he ever -- EVER -- intentionally spit in my face, I would find a blunt object and he wouldn't survive to tell anyone about how he spit on me.

The NFL has got to do more to discipline its players. I lose more respect for the league every year.

Pitiful.

19. My wife and I strolled the
French Quarter Saturday. Saw a bunch of Redskin Fans enjoying a beautiful day. Well behanved I might add. And obviously they had a great trip after the outcome of the game. TO is a sad, pathetic person. In constant need of attention. He evens pays for attention, because he knows he's gonna get fined.
