One of the most beautiful soccer goals I've ever seen.
Argentina's mid-fielder, Maxi Rodriguez, in the 98th minute, takes a 40 yard air pass in the chest and sets up his own left-footed goal kick into the top left corner with exactly the arc and speed that nobody had a chance to block, let alone the goal-keeper. Gorgeous!

3. If it were a Hollywood movie,
... they'd probably choose to use CGI rather than the 100 or so takes that still wouldn't be as picture perfect. I've seen spectacular bicycle kick goals, but Rodriguez' goal was an awesome display of concentration, perfect body control, and textbook execution.

5. right, just like Joe Cole's one
against Sweden, how many times out of a hundred, in practice, you figure they could do that volley? equal shots from opposiite sides of the field. typical Argie-Limey rivarly.

2. Great goal to win a great game
That was a glorious shot. Picture perfect, and its importance makes it all the better.

On another note, Mexico played so well, they really surprised me and (I suspect) a lot of other people. They can go home with their heads high because of their amazing effort today. Viva Mexico!
