About a week ago David Zirin posted an article about NFL coaching. Zirin claimed that instead of trying to pick new coaches some of whom may be black the NFL will instead choose to go after coaches that have been fired by many teams. It seems to me that the coach that the Saints hired and the fact that Jim Haslett is being interviewed by different teams proves Zirin's point. NFL teams really should try to go after new coaches instead of just interviewing the same coaches that just got fired for poor performance.
