Hey, Fox :wtf:

This is the World Series, not amateur night at the Comedy Connection.

I can't wait until a real network gets baseball again.

1. I thought it was just me.
No reflection on the Sox's or Astros (Go Stros) but that was pretty bad.

2. Yeah, I long for days past when NBC would do the Series.
Where is Vin Scully when you need him?

3. Vin Scully, Joe Garagiola and Bob Costas
The NBC Game of the Week.

I still remember the intro they did before Game 2 of the '88 World Series with scenes from The Natural mixed with Kirk Gibson's home run, right down to the drama of wondering, "Can he make it all the way around the bases?"

Now we have Buck the Lesser, Tim McObvious and a cartoon ball named "Scooter."

6. Costas????
Mister Anal Inspection himself?

How about Dizzy Dean and Peewee Rese?

Or just listen to ESPN Radio with Jon Miller and Joe Morgan - who are by far, my favorites.

10. Morgan
is an idiot. He forgot everything that made him a great player.

12. Everytime I see Scooter, I think of the Langoliers
from the Steven King TV movie...

4. Something is wrong with Cingular whatever Field.
Not the noise and excitement of Fenway, Yankee Stadium or even Minute Maid/Enron.

A tinny organ and fans way away from the field.

The old Comisky sucked and this is a generic modern replica complete with Bill Veek's schmaltzy fireworks and pinwheels.

Lord Almighty! I wish the Cubs didn't have that stupid billy goat curse and their ownership would care.

5. I think the Cubs' problems have more to do with
the latter than the former :)

Just ask the Red Sox.

7. There are no real networks.
And now we know who the real baseball fans in this country are. If you're not watching this series, please turn in your fan paraphernalia, regardless of what team you purport to support during the regular season.

8. when the Yankees got shown the door by Anaheim
Fox simply didn't give ashit anymore. Thye bascially went about with a "this is NOT what we wanted to see"attitude, from the anouncers on down. n the field, blame Hosuton for not being able to ge the ig hits, especially with the bases loaded and no to 1 outs NUMEROUS times...

9. We see the same thing in the NBA
If the Lakers or the Heat aren't in the Finals, you can just feel the apathy coming in waves from the announcers and "analysts" on ESPN and ABC.

11. They did this to the Twins a couple of years ago
when they were in the ALCS with the Angels. They ripped the Metrodome from the start and pretty much said every other sentence that Minnesota does not deserve to be there. I put the local WCCO broadcasters on and muted the TV during that disgrace.
