1. in the playoffs, you need to be able to do three things
Control time of possession
Run the football
Stop people from scoring.

That's why I'm picking the Jets, in spite of Paul Hackett and his Strom Thurman-like offensive philosophy.

10. I really hope you're right Magicrat
I just don't see it happening, we could beat the Chargers but we won't beat the Steelers or the Chowds in their places.

9. Obvious choice is Pats or Steelers--don't see how anyone else can beat
either team, especially since these two will be at home for their first games.

Hope its the Pats.

BTW, whoever gets out of the NFC will NOT play Philly. The Eagles will find a way to lose again somehow, even though everyone else from the NFC sucks.

20. It'll be the STEELERS!
The Steelers broke the Pats winning streak this year, and their second string team won on Sunday. I think the Superbowl is going to be Steelers/Patriots, and the Steelers will win!!!!

Yes, I have a Terrible towel and a Steeler football in my bookcase beside my TV here in Ga.

23. Chargers!
Just because I like the underdog, am not really excited about the Steelers, Jets or the Pats (and abhor the Broncos) and they've been lucky once before. I'm not saying they'll win the Superbowl, mind ya - but hey, they've made it this far.

If not, the Colts. I rather like the Colts.

'Cause in my personal opinion - and experiance playing in the "championships" back when I was playing HS soccer, after the season is over, picking playoff winners is as scientific as picking the winners of horse races.
Stats don't mean very much if a good team is having an off day and it's not a round robin or best of "X" number.

24. Colts lose to Eagles
Patriots - not hungry enough, can't slow colts
Steelers - it will be fun to watch the jets beat them

AFC Championship - Colts 27 Jets 20

But

Eagles 38 Colts 31 in the big dance.

Yeah its finally the Birds year. You can hate it or love to hate it, but either way you will have to live it.

You can begin the flames now.
