Boston Redsox were fantastic.

And what about that football game? Which one was it?

1. I do. The Boston Red Sox were behind and had the "curse" and
all. They would never be able to beat the Yankees. Not a chance. Forget about it.

I remember lots of lots of New York Yankee fans stunned, shocked, speechless. I got nothing against the Yankees. The point is how their faces were just, like, WTF? How did they win?

They were so behind.

Think about it.

3. The media made more out of the Sox sweep then they did the Debates sweep
by John Kerry against a sitting president.

After the third debate win for Kerry, the prevailing attitude in the media was "No big deal....Well, the debates aren't very important...and Bush can't be beat on the terror issue."

4. Yeah, that's true. I remember. It was pathetic. The debates
should be handled differently, with the honor and respect that they need and deserve. Kerry won the debates hands down. Kerry was "Presidential" Bush had a mysterious bulge on his back, presumably to help him speak in public without looking like a moron. The bulge failed and he looked stupid anyway. Of course, since he didn't "win" the debates that was the end of the media coverage for that...good thing for the Internet though or as George Bush called them the "Internets." Bush speak you know. Oh, and they were the team, the only team in fact, that could "keep us safe from any threat any time any where" the other team would let us all die they said. Hmm. In a post-Katrina world that didn't seem to work out so well eh? Faulty logic? Bad media? Groupthink? I can tell you what after 9-11 with Bush and his administration and all there "War on Terror, Terrorism, Terrorists, New Video tapes from Al-Queada de jour every time someone else seems to be fairing better in public than Bush" I am sick of it all. What's really bad, is that we ARE SO NOT SAFER! Duh. My Federal Government just failed me and my fellow citizens in such a colossal and disgraceful way that four years after 9-11 I feel more vulnerable than ever. Plus, again, the government has wasted billions of dollars that could be used elsewhere on things like the "Department of Homeland Security" which is apparently an oxymoron and a very expensive one. If only we had true leadership.

6. Gee, I seem to recall....
1918
86 years
0-3 in the ALCS
4-0 sweep

Yeah, I vaguely remember something about a World Series.

Although, to be honest, I was so wrapped up in the persuasion and GOTV efforts going on that it really still seems like a dream.

7. there was a world series?? I just remember the ALCS
There was a quick blur of a few games with a team that wears red, but by then it was just a formality. ;)
