Why not sell the Los Angeles Dodgers to the public? The Green Bay Packers are

phenomenally successful as a publicly owned team.

There is no egotistic owner problem, the fans own the team, there is plenty of interest in owning stock, and the team is tethered to the community.

FWIW - I think all MLB/NFL teams should be owned by the public.
