Commissioner forcing Astros to play in American League
http://therecordlive.com/article/Sports_Outdoors/Kazs_Korner/Commissioner_forcing_Astros_to_play_in_American_League/65619

This is bad. Two teams, less than 3-ish hours apart, in the same league. Now, if they gave San Antonio a National League team I could see it, but they're going to lose a lot of fans (of the Astros fans that are left) over this one, I think. The rationalization that this will be good for rivalries is silly. Of course this is only my opinion. When the Brewers came to, formerly National League, Milwaukee, people weren't happy. I stopped following the Brewers (and became a Tigers fan---woot!) when they joined the National League. This is, to begin with, a team in massive amounts of transition. A league change now is crazy. Again, my opinion. Anyone else have one?

2. Pretty much. It irritates me no end because there's a couple of
markets where they could add a team (San Antonio being one of them) if needed.

3. There are too many teams with poor attendance now.
Perhaps some teams should be moved, but expansion would be foolish.

4. Detroit and Cleveland are about three hours apart
and that's a great rivalry. But season-long interleague play is a terrible idea. I've always said I don't mind two series between geographic rivals; Yankees/Mets, Giants/A's, Dodgers/Angels, etc. But not an entire season. And to top it off, an alternating designated hitter rule makes it the dumbest fucking idea ever. AND BASEBALL DOES NOT WITH ANOTHER WILD CARD TEAM.

Selig: YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT

9. Philly and Pittsburgh not much farther apart
in the same state, with spirited rivalries in football and hockey, and they're not even in the same division! :dunce:

5. Evens out the leagues. No problem with it. However, I don't really know how the additional WC is
going to work.

8. No!!!
Stupid ass Selig. He's ruining everything. I hate interleague play in the NFL.

San Antonio could support an expansion team but only in a domed stadium. I'm here now and it was unbearable to be outside this summer. Arlington is the hottest damn stadium in the majors now. San Antonio would be worse.
