2. amazing game
horribly played game really, but still amazing. To be within one strike not once, but twice? Devastating.

6. There had to be that, didn't there. For me it's BASEBALL... NOT who believes in what.
It's a pitcher staring down a hitter. It's a hitter showing bunt then hitting a soft fly over the third baseman's head. It's stragety (sic) mixed with luck.

As sure as I'm sitting here though, I knew that for SOMEONE (not necessarily YOU), it would come down to who believes in what.

It's baseball. Let it be baseball. I believe in BASEBALL.

God's ONLY involvement in the game was ensuring that the guy in center field (who just lost his job) picked up the home run ball. I saw that one coming...

IT'S FUCKING BASEBALL, AND NOT SUBJECT TO WHO BELIEVES IN WHAT.

You can't ruin it for me though, no matter how hard you try.

Oh, and I believe in God.

8. Well said. I like sports as an escape from politics
The BecKKK thing will always piss me off, but I will not let it ruin my love of the game or the team I have loved since childhood.

Go Cardinals!

9. Feast your eyes on this
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ti-brown_world_series_game_six_epic_rangers_102711

Hamilton came along to bail him out. Homerless in the postseason since Game 3 of the 2010 World Series, he came to the plate in the 10th inning with a runner on base against Cardinals closer Jason Motte(notes). On the way to the batter’s box, Hamilton said, God spoke to him.

“He said, ‘You haven’t hit one in a while and this time you’re going to,’ ” he explained. “But there was a period at the end of that. He didn’t say, ‘You’re going to hit it and you’re going to win.’ ”

Imagine if he'd said that with all the mikes thrust into his face on national TV after a win. :scared: If he'd let baseball be baseball, then I would, too. But he doesn't. Neither does Pukehole, for that matter. He's even worse!

10. Okay, that's kinda goofy but as I said...
It doesn't alter my enjoyment of the game in the slightest. I don't care if he comes to the mic and says he hit the home run because he just finished stroking the beard of Zeus or drinking his own urine; he brought me out of my seat with the swing of his bat.

Excellent game though, and I think the Cards are a lock tonight.

Enjoy the game!
Chris
