Boxing News: Winner of Skelton/Williams will face Ruiz, says Warren.
Over on the Sherdog boxing forums, I read that Frank Warren stated that WBA Heavyweight Champion John Ruiz will be facing the winner of the Skelton/Williams fight. Warren also said that the fight would take place in the UK.

Great, if Skelton wins, then his fight with Ruiz would be awful. So it's time for you boxing fans to pray to God, or Zeus, or whomever for a Danny Williams victory. WAR WILLIAMS!!!!!!!!!!1!!!1!111111!!!!

1. Any fight with Ruiz
and another low-ranking contender will be awful. The only Ruiz fight worth watching would be one in which he faces a man who punches hard and fast.

The biggest thing going right now is the 7-16 match-up with Hopkins and Taylor. While the "old master" has to be favored, he is fighting a serious opponent. Can't wait for that one!

2. Any threat that Ruiz posed was ended by Toney.
I personally believe that Toney basically showed how to fight Ruiz.

The Hopkins/Taylor fight should be interesting. It will also be interesting to see how Taylor reacts to someone that is in his league.

3. I think that
Toney showed how out-of-shape lightheavyweights and cruiserweights can beat Ruiz. Jones showed how in-shape ones can, too. David Tua demonmstrated how heavyweights can.

It remains to be seen if Hopkins is in Taylor's league. Taylor's league is open to debate at this point. Hopkins has proven himself to rank with the great middleweights; the only question is his age. Taylor can't be mentioned with the greats yet, though he has the potential.

In some interviews I've seen, Taylor appears too respectful. Hopkins has done a job on him mentally, and Bernard knows it -- hence his little grin. The smaller male has shown too much respect for the alpha male. He will have to change that by the 72 hours before the fight.
