Has anyone mentioned that the Pirates are two games over 500 and 2.5 games
ahead of the Rockies?? If not, then I will.

Oh, btw, I'll figure out later how many games ahead of the Marlins the Pirates are. Where is our "resident" Marlin fan???

2. Hey Jon... I didn't know the Rockies needed depth at 2nd base
Mark Ellis? Good with a glove but struggling with the bat.

3. It's more for the second spot in the lineup.
We needed a starting pitcher so we got a second baseman. And we have to send someone down, probably Chris Nelson. He was great in the Springs but a bust in Denver. I hope Ellis starts tonight against KC. We'll have a good look at him.

Look for a pitcher trade next week.

We sent EY Jr. down too. And brought up a reliever.

The only ones he had were white. The power was in those shoes!
