19. If you have ever played a team sport...

you would understand that this is a very emotional period. Germans usually don't like to display emotions. Dirk is a class act- both in front of cameras and not (like when I met him).

on edit: in person, he is unbelievable tall.

Wasn't saying anything against Dirk, but I've never seen anyone clear the field like that after a win and I found it amusing.

30. incidentally, they had a story on this on yahoo today
You were right, he wanted to get out of there before emotion overcame him. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Video-Emotional-Dirk-Nowitzki-runs-into-the-loc?urn=nba-wp4846

Apparently, he had to be talked into even coming back on the court at all. I'm glad he did.

:hi:

But the tiebreaker was Lebron. So I went with Dallas.

Didn't know anything about Dallas but the short minutes watching it appeared like they weren't suppose to win. Ha to Lebron.

32. No one expected them to get past the Lakers...
let alone the holy trinity in Miami. All season they never really beat anyone by a wide margin, but they never lost any games by wide margins. They were incredibly consistent with a GREAT bench (most points off the bench in the NBA). Miami was rolling out about 7 players, and Dallas was rolling out 12. With Dirk's bad night last night, you really got to see what the Mavericks bench can do. That Barea (all 5' 10" of him) had the Heat reeling.

Seriously, though, I wanted to see Nowitzki and Kidd finally win a ring to cap off their careers.
