4. Fantastic game

That second period was especially physical. It was such a great game I was hoping no one would score.

Sorry about the loss though. I think your goalie played a great game all the way up to the last 18 seconds and that was a difficult save attempt. Your team's goalie kind of reminds me of a soccer goalkeeper, the way he comes forward to play the puck rather than sit back at the net. It almost backfired when Vancouver hit the cross bar.

Again sorry about the loss but that was a terrific game. Probably best game I've seen(though I haven't seen nearly as much as you have). I'm glad that the only potential elimination game that Versus is airing is game 4. 5,6,7 are on NBC. :bounce:

5. It was a good game, except the refs made too many calls, against both teams.

A few had to be called, but some were real questionable (the goalie interference call on Vancouver when one of their players hit Thomas was terrible, as the CBC announcers rightfully pointed out). I hate seeing the refs insert themselves into the games like this, especially in the playoffs. Let the players play and decide for themselves. With everything on the line it sucks seeing games decided by special teams. Thankfully, neither team did anything on their powerplay, and the game was won on a great play by Vancouver.

Having said that, despite the loss, it was an very entertaining game when they got to play 5 on 5. There was some great stretches of action, and the third period was really well played. Both teams played real solid throughout.
