1. For one thing..the Giants are back home

They had to play 22 of their first 31 on the road.. There's still a lot of magic at AT&T Park.

Also, the injury to Sandoval has had some unexpected benefits. Tejada is showing he's a much better third baseman than SS. And Fontenot has been the Giants MVP for the last few games. He not only gets the game winning SF tonight, but there's no way Tejada gets to that ball Fowler hit up the middle in the top of the 9th with 2 on..

For all their problems the first 5 weeks of the season, they're now only 2 games out of first place..

2. Yeah well I was there when they were playing the Braves

it wasn't pretty.

I think Freddy Sanchez is starting to show some good stuff too, I really like him. Fontenot has been hot lately, that's true. Wonder how it will be when we get Torres and Sandoval back...

4. That series against the Braves..

was just a lost weekend. It's unfortunate you picked that time to go. The Giants have won 6 of 8 at home otherwise. Freddy had the GW hit last night and 3 more tonight...and he's solid defensively. One of Sabean's better trades...he's one of my favorite players too.

6. Torres and DeRosa will be back Tuesday...

Sandoval in six to eight weeks, then he'll need in rehab in the minors. Maybe end of July? Giants need Huff and Posey to step up.

3. Blew a lead in the 8th last night

They were mostly playing catch-up today. Rockies haven't looked too good last 12 games or so.

5. Three straight walk off losses...that's tough.

I was forced to watch the Rockies telecast..and in the post game show, I think they were saying the Rockies BP has given up 14 runs in their last 15 innings. Could I have heard that correctly?

Rockies started 12-3. Since then, they've gone 6-10..
