Anyone here like David Zirin
Writer for The Nation and SLAM, as well as been on shows such as Rachel Maddow. He's a great leftist that one of the best sports writers you will find in this country. Go check him out if you haven't Even the non sports fans should read his stuff, especially leftists.

In fact I still have the April '98 edition with the headline.

Generation Nets: Champs by 2001. Count on it.

The Nets did make the finals in 2002 but with a very different team than who was on the cover. On the cover is Sam Cassell, Kendall Gill, Keith Van Horn, Jayson Williams, and Kerry Kittles.

What is interesting is they have a section of JUCO stars and the only ones I'm familiar with is Shawn Marion, Steve Francis, and Chris Porter.

I can't find anything written by David Zirin but I'm still looking. Anyways, thanks for the heads up. I'll check him out.

He's carved out a nice niche for himself. I've had the chance to meet him and hear him talk, and he's a quite personable guy as well.
