1. shrug and not give a damn
and enjoy watching baseball which will be in the best part of the year anyway. I'm just about done with the Washington Redskins franchise anyway because of that idiot Snyder, but I really find myself not being terribly compassionate to either side in this debate.(though I think the idea of the 18 game season is a bad one and is not good for the players)

5. Watch MLB and MLS, and then the NBA, much like I do already.
The biggest loss of an NFL lockout for me will be the peace and quiet that is guaranteed on the ski trails on Super Bowl Sunday.

Seriously, the first half of the NFL season is worthless to me. September and early October remain great backpacking weather, and the food festivals (Oktoberfest, Polish Fest, Greek Fest, Apple Fest and on and on) are going every weekend. The NFL just can't compete with that. Once November hits, I actually watch some games, but there's plenty to do with the holidays, and I'll hope for some early snow! When we get early snow, the NFL can remain almost completely off my radar for an entire season. A day of skiing beats a day sitting around watching the TV anytime, IMO.
