RIP Ron Santo-one of the best third basemans of his era and in 1966 and 1967, arguably was among the top players in the game at any position.

8. RIP Ron Santo
One of the greats, IMO. What an infield that was: Kessinger, Banks, Santo, Beckett; Hundley behind the plate.
From a Mets fan who was around to see it.

10. RIP Ron
I'm sorry you didn't make it into the Hall of Fame in your lifetime. You deserved it.

Cubs baseball will not be the same without your commentary.

11. Keith Olbermann has torn the HOF a new one....
And, they deserve it for not giving Ron his much-deserved HOF spot:

12. It was a shame the CUbs couldn't put it all together
What a murderers' row they had -- Billy Williams, Ron Santo and Ernie Banks.

16. Cub Nation is a worse place
I loved listening to Vince Lloyd and Jack Brickhouse describe Santo's expolits on the field. RIP Mr. Ron Santo, one of the greatest players not in the Hall of Fame.
