Is Dan Gilbert laughing?
Edited on Mon Nov-29-10 05:40 PM by wilt the stilt

Miami Heat Reportedly Frustrated With Coach Erik Spoelstra

They are blaming the coach. this is imploding.

last but not least two great Barkley quotes

The last word I: From Charles Barkley, in advance of next week's Heat-Cavaliers: "LeBron, I love you, but don't stand close to me next week in Cleveland."

The last word II: From Barkley, after the Heat loss to the Magic on Wednesday: "Teams are going to start scheduling the Heat for homecoming."

1. Come on now Wilt...
You're a student of the game. What---you don't think the Heat will pull it together?

Dan Gilbert can laugh all he wants...but he still owns the Cleveland Cavaliers.

3. too many holes
my first post of the year on the heat said that I was unimpressed. There is no low post and no point guard. They have a ways to go to match with the good teams. They are a jump shooting team and there is an old saying."Live by the jump shot die by the jump shot".

Here is a radical thought. LeBron give up the scoring and play power forward. screw the points. rebound and clog the middle. Moses Malone was only 6' 10"and he was relentless. Miami needs help down low. This would free up Wade and the offense can go back to being centered around Wade. Lebron is thick enough and strong enough to get 15 rebounds a game. He is also athletic enough to block shots.

If you read T'mac's evaluation he got it right both Wade and Lebron need to dribble to shoot. They are rhythm players. Only one can be effective. For the good of the team lebron needs to sacrifice his game.

4. I've read many articles that discuss LeBron doing what you suggest
and that is what he wants to do.... Magic Johnson style.

Give them time and they'll figure it out.

5. the offense was still running off of Magic
even though it was Jabbar was still setting the scoring in the half court. magic Johnson would be a point forward in LeBron's mind. Ultimately it is about sacrifice. His role would only be about 15 points a game but it is the 15 rebounds that would be the difference.

7. The question is, will LeBron accept that role?

2. Come on, did anyone think that Pat Riley wasn't going to end up
Edited on Mon Nov-29-10 10:45 PM by hughee99
coaching this team? Riley's just doing the NBA coach's version of Brett Favre sitting out of training camp. He's not going to really retire as a coach who won 15 games in his last season. Spolestra was fucked from the get-go.

8. Dan Gilbert = tool
His angry, immature, e-mail to the press after "The Decision" told me all I needed to know about why LeBron left Cleveland.

I can't believe people in Cleveland want Gilbert to buy the Indians.

9. he felt taken
Edited on Tue Nov-30-10 06:18 PM by wilt the stilt
he had spent a lot of money trying to build a team around him and LeBron didn't even have the courtesy to call him directly. He had one of his people in his entourage call him. The fans want Gilbert to buy the Indians because they think he would commit the money to win. At least that is what they are hoping. Even though the letter was immature he letter struck home with the fans as it was the emotion they felt.

13. Exactly, it was an emotional reaction, whereas Crybaby James' decision to say PHUCK YOU
to Cleveland was calculated and planned.

10. Say what you will about Gilbert . . .
. . . I'd sure rather have him as the Indians owner than the clueless, know-nothing, careless miser we have now. Dolan's obviously not interested in building even a contender, trades stars for bupkis and has a staff that still thinks "little ball" will work with sucko pitching. Going to the "Prog" . . . my God, that place was like a morgue. My son played the National Anthem with his HS Marching band there. We were able to get bleacher seats, in the front row, easily. The lower deck was 1/4 full.

He still owns the Cleveland Cavaliers.

LeBron humiliated Gibert's team tonight.

Fuck Gilbert.

12. Gilbert needs to move the Cavs to Vegas or somewhere else. Who the hell cares. People in this town
are more worried about millionaires pissing on billionaires rather than the fact that you can buy a house for $250.00 and the whole of county government is being wisked off to prison and you have jackasses who think a casino will save this town (ask Detroit how that idea is working out for them).

14. Cleveland has "99 problems, but a (LeBron) ain't one of them."
Phillip Morris of the Cleveland Plain Dealer wrote an excellent piece about your point...
