Hawkstradamus bold prediction: Huskers will be 4-0 by 10 pm
...and furthermore...by the time the dust settles, the fates will shuffle the Huskers up the ladder from their current AP standing of #6 to at least #5.

Today's Nebraska opponent: a South Dakota State team that is likely to be no match.

1. NostraHawkamus correct, but...
a totally lameass performance by the Huskers, and a gutsy skillful game by the Jackrabbits, gave a 17-3 result for the Huskers in a game they should have taken much more handily.

Since the Longhorns went down to ignominious defeat, the Huskers will likely move up in the AP rankings. But sans enthusiasm...

2. Beating South Dakota State by only 14?
You're kidding right?

3. SDS looked really good - hung tough, played smart. Deserve kudos.

While Nebraska just stunk the joint out...not impressive. A real doubt inducer...fer sure. So Nebraska is 4-0...but not looking real sharp.

Coach Bo Pelini (aka The ScowlMiester) was about to have a cow -- chewing his gum-cud at hyperballistic speed...

5. Hey---at least the Huskers are looking up rather than down
I'm happy with their emergence.

4. Well, I'm glad I didn't drop $40 for the PPV.
A really flat performance yesterday. As flat as those cheerleader's tummies.

6. My father-in-law dropped the $40
He's a total diehard....But toward the end he was muttering 'ripoff' as if it were a mantra....

It is a ripoff - $40 and the announcers are both stupid & CLUELESS.

7. I listened on the free audio feed at huskers.com
We do that anytime the game isn't televised. Works great, and we had it running on all three computers in our house, so we could listen to the game wherever we are. I like the announcing on that feed pretty well.

Naturally, I prefer televised games, but that hasn't been in the cards much for the last few years, so we have that feed bookmarked.

I expect better TV coverage once they're in the Big 10, or whatever it's going to get renamed to.
