stupid fucking ESPN3

I got all excited because they announced last night that the Alabama/San Jose State game was going to be on ESPN3. Hooray!

So I go to sign in and watch it. There are blackouts, of course, but I'm in California.

California and Alabama are the only two states in the entire country to be blacked out. Because if we could watch it on the internet, we won't fly to fucking Tuscaloosa and make sure it's a sell out or something. Since everyone in the state of California is a San Jose State fan.

Cha ching. Money money money. Kind of like the strange ban on baseball games that mlb has. When ESPN shows Cubs, White Sox, Cardinals, Brewers, or Twins games, we can't see them here in Davenport, Iowa because of blackout rules. Cubs, Sox, and some Cards games are on around here on cable and/or satellite but Brewers and Twins? C'mon. So it sounds like ESPN and NCAA took lessons from MLB. Or perhaps it is the other way around. Either way, it stinks.

2. yeah, just found out

I could buy it PPV if I want. For 24 dollars.

And I can't find a single radio station in Alabama that streams live. Several of them claim to stream, but I can't get it to work in either Firefox or Explorer.

Hopefully bittorrent will come through tonight or tomorrow.

Edit: And they're not doing a gamecast on ESPN.com, either. I'm pissed.

Final edit: Found a play by play on ESPN, but it wasn't easy.
