Sir Charles to King James: Miami Move was Punk
Hey LeBron, it's B-A-R-K-L-E-Y.

Charles Barkley wants to make sure he doesn't get left off LeBron James' roster of critics, which the NBA superstar said he is compiling after his ballyhooed move from Cleveland to Miami and the one-hour ESPN special on which he announced it. Barkley took to ESPN Radio in Dallas Thursday and scoffed at James warning that he is "taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me" over his antics..

"I heard about LeBron's little tweet today that he's remembering everybody who said anything bad about him," Barkley said. "And he said 'everybody. Well, I want him to make sure that he puts my name on that (list).

"I thought that his little one-hour special was a punk move. I thought them dancing around on the stage was a punk move, and I thought he should've stayed in Cleveland. Him joining Dwyane Wade's team was very disappointing to me."

LOL. I'm not a huge fan of Barkley but every now and again, he says stuff thats spot on as this is..I particularly liked his response to LeBron's tweet about keeping mental notes of his critics..."I want to make sure that he puts my name on that list...."

I can't recall James getting arrested for assault or a DUI---or actually ever getting into trouble with the law.

You on the other hand...

5. I always point to what Kevin Garnett says
“Loyalty is something that hurts you at times, because you can’t get youth back,” Garnett said Thursday night after the Celtics eliminated the Cavs 94-85 with the help of his 22-point, 12-rebound performance straight out of 1998. “I can honestly say that if I could go back and do my situation over, knowing what I know now with this organization, I’d have done it a little sooner.”

6. In other words
Fuck loyalty. Look out for number one. Well I find that attitude just as selfish and unpleasant in sports world as in the corporate world- where it's way too common. Sorry. I save my respect for the Cal Ripkens of the world. Not egotistical mercenary atheletes.

12. Ripken's pursuit of that meaningless record was the epitome of egotistical selfishness
His productivity and stats declined . . .

Who cares what's good for the team?

I want my fucking record and Wheaties box gig.

13. I'd also like to add.....
...that loyalty gets you very little these days. As soon as your numbers fall the team you're trying to be loyal to will drop you like a bad habit, toot sweet.

The only way to be truly loyal is to be awesome your whole career and quit while on the top. The second there's a drop off in production those owners you think these guys should be loyal to are out on their asses. A lot of the loyalty you saw in the old days was because the owners were dickheads and wouldn't move a player until he couldn't perform to their standards. There was no loyalty on the owners part. The players had no choice but to play for them. There was no free agency, and there were few trades. You signed a contract with someone and that was that.

Read about Dick Butkus' career and what the Bears did to him. He has two books out, both of which goes into detail on how the Bears treated him, how they wouldn't even let him see other doctors for his knee.

And here's the knee in question, that he played his last three years on. How much loyalty did he owe these guys?

16. Sir Charles is brilliant.
Never one to pull punches. I really don't care about basketball at all but I'm a huge Barkley fan. He's a great guy in person.
