Milwaukee's historic Pfister Hotel is a hit with tourists, but continues to strike out with Major League Baseball players. Sandoval and Renteria left the Giants team hotel and checked in at another property down the street.

Why? Ghosts.

2. I stayed in that hotel just a few months ago and LOVED it

My parents, however, didn't like it so much, and had vague reasons for not wanting to stay there again when we went to Milwaukee in May. Maybe this explains it.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone, though.

3. Renteria has managed to be grossly overpaid for most of his career

he probably figures his luck is bound to run out soon in other areas. Why take any chances?
