"What It Was Was A Robbery ... Flat Out Robbed, We Was...." (Spoiler Alert) LINK
There are 'bad calls' made in all sports that depend upon referees, umpires and game officials.

And in many sports the use of video replay has been utilized to get the 'calls right.'

But in the game or match where there is no basis to support a deciding 'call' by a referee, umpire or official, video replay is of no use except to verify the 'bad call' and memorialize it for future generations to review.

Such was the case in the USA v. Slovenia World Cup Match today when inside of 10 minutes the official waived off an obvious winning goal WITHOUT identifying a rule violation(ie. offsides) or a foul by a particular player. And subsequently the official has failed to give any kind of explanation for his 'call' that resulted in a tie for the USA team rather than a win.

It reminds one of past Olympic scoring fiascos by the Russian judges in boxing, and collusive judges in ice skating.

But in this matter, take a look at the video for yourself at the LINK below.

It appears that "What it Was Was A Robbery..." accurately says it all...

1. Every bit as legitimate as pro wrestling
Or NBA basketball. Why do you think Las Vegas doesn't post odds on pro wrestling, or why the NBA doesn't announce the assignment of officials before game time? Why should soccer be any different?

11. That would be an interesting photo for the official to explain away...
... you don't often get this kind of photographic evidence of a blown call.
