NOT OFFICIAL. Seems to be just speculation.
"Texas A&M officials met today with the Pac-10's Larry Scott and Kevin Weiberg and ultimately turned down an invitation to join the Pac-10, according to a report by Oranglebloods.com's Chip Brown. Brown cited a unnamed Big 12 athletic director as his source on a message on Twitter.
"Texas A&M turned down invite to join P10 in mtg today with P10's Larry Scott and Kevin Weiberg in College Station, a Big 12 AD confirms," Brown wrote from his Twitter account, @ChipBrownOG.
Billy Liucci of agsports.com had a conflicting report.
"Just received word from two sources that Aggies have NOT turned down Pac-10 and are still weighing P10/SEC option," a message from his Twitter account, @billyliucci, read.
Chris Level of RedRaiderSports.com also chimed in with a report similar to Liucci's:
"Based on two trusted people that I just spoke with I think that the Aggies are still very much considering the Pac 10 scenario," Level said from his Twitter account, @ChrisLevel.
The Dallas Morning News' Chuck Carlton reported in today's paper that a move to SEC has momentum in A&M's divided house.
