DH forever at the ALL-Star Game!!!
http://www.mlive.com/tigers/index.ssf/2010/04/tigers_manager_jim_leyland_cal.html

When will the NL get a clue and acquiesce?

(I wanted to post this from work earlier today, but my Firefox got hosed when my Linux system crashed when I tried to use 7 of my 8 CPUs for a job.)

3. Acquiesce to a dumbed-down version of the game?
Cutting out half of the strategy involved in being a manager?
Stressing brute power over small-ball?

No way!

4. How laughable. The DH rule keeps every person who takes the field from being a REAL baseball player
If you wear a glove, you must also go to the plate with a bat in your hand. If you bat, you must also take the field with a glove on.

Is that so hard to understand?

How in the world could you call anything else REAL BASEBALL?

6. Me too.
I love the strategy of watching pitchers bat. I totally agree, it's dumbed down with a DH.

10. "Strategy of watching pitchers bat?"
They make an easy out or they get pulled. What's to love about that?

11. LOL, not strategy of watching
I like seeing managers having to make the strategic decision of when to leave in a good pitcher.

My watching involves very little strategy. The managers don't seem to hear my unsolicited advice.

12. There's lots of good hitting pitchers, where have you been?
Well, maybe not on the Frockies team...

8. It's time to end this "experiment"...
... and decide whether to go "all-in" on the DH or get rid of it.

I favor getting rid of it for strategy reasons and because it makes teams think twice about a bean ball war because the pitcher has to come to the plate.

Actually, I can't remember the last time I watched an All-Star Game. Wait, yes I can...

13. Yep, that's the last one I watched, too.
Each team had at least 8 players left who coulda pitched in that exhibition game.

And the solution was "This Time It Counts"?

Bah!
