2. proof that Denver doesn't have a clue
Trading Cutler for Orton (ok, maybe you don't believe in Cutler, but Orton? - did you ever WATCH the Bears?), and then getting Quinn from Cleveland.

Following that with adding Tebow in the 1st round - he's no NFL caliber QB, IMO.

Trio of mediocre or worse QBs. Have fun with that, Denver.

3. plus, they trade Brandon Marshall and draft a WR because he reminds them of ... Marshall?
:wtf: is going on in Denver?

31. We got rid of Marshall because he refused to play. Seems like a good reason to me.
We got rid of Cutler because he was in a perpetual pout and refused to practice. Good riddance to him, too.

All I ask is that these folks who make oodles of money actually show the fuck UP to play and practice. And when they don't they're gone.

5. Which Bears?
The Bears with Cutler or the Bears with Orton? They both looked pretty bad.

Last year Orton had better number than Orton. Personally, if Tebow works on his throwing motion, he'll be alright.

6. I meant the Bears with Orton
they sucked - he was never more than mediocre.

They sucked last year, too. However, the offensive line was terrible, couldn't block for Forte, putting the entire offensive load on Cutler, who they also couldn't protect, while he tried to get the ball to inexperienced receivers.

The defense was also too weak to prevent them from falling behind, so putting even more pressure on Cutler.

Until the other issues are dealt with (and they still have done virtually nothing to help the OL), Cutler will struggle, as will the Bears. I still think Cutler's got the ability - but without the supporting cast, he can't be expected to win.

How in hell Orton did as well as he did in Denver last year, I don't know. Maybe he had decent protection and managed to hold it together. He's not that good, and I expect last year was something of a fluke.

7. they got two first-round picks and a third-round pick for Cutler in addition to Orton
So far that trade has worked out pretty well for them.

The Tebow pick, though, I'm not so keen on.

14. Yes, I have watched the Bears
Orton put up fairly decent passing numbers on a team with little-to-no wide receivers

24. So you are not a Natinals or Redskins fan? You live there.
So I live in Denver. My love for the Donkos never really developed. Something about a Super Bowl in 1978 when I lived in Dallas.

18. It's going to be called the Roethlisberger Effect
every pick when the talking heads at ESPN analyzed the teams pick always seemed to compare him to Ben in terms of character.

Denver picked a person, not a player.

This way he gets to come to Oakland to get sacked every year!

Of course, it'll probably be blacked out, so I won't get to see it 'til the highlights come on... :eyes:

Are these some of the new NFL rules I hear so much about???

25. I think it's a good spot for him.
He can learn what it means to be an NFL quarterback and he won't be thrown into the fire too quick. It seems that Urban Meyer thinks McDaniel is a great coach. I wish Tebow the best. The NFL is the real deal.

33. I think it is too, actually
Even though I'm not a big believer at this point, and was irked that the Broncos spent a first-round pick on him, I do think that, of all the teams he could have gone to, this is a situation that could work out well for him.

29. I don't like Tebow, and he's fair game to slam however seen fit.
And yeah, he's probably going to ride the bench and may be a backup his whole career.

He's still making a shitpile more money than I am.

I'm just thankful Raheem Morris didn't make yet another mistake in the draft and take him, inept shit that he is.
