2010 NFL Draft Thread
Edited on Thu Apr-22-10 06:38 PM by Auggie
Waddya know... Cleveland is trying to arrange a deal to move up to first. Holmgren covets Sam Bradford.

On edit: First round, Bradford goes to St. Louis. So much for that.

1. I hope Arizona
drafts Kyle Wilson out of Boise St. Either him or Jerry Hughes out of TCU.

that has Wilson going to the 49ers..

7. I've seen it too
Their biggest need is the O-line IMO, but Baalke said today he'll take the best player available. That might even be Dez Bryant.

doesn't make sense...we just got Crabtree...I've also seen the Clauson rumors, but I'm with you, we need to bolster the OL.

11. There is not a mock draft out there
(that I know of) that has Arizona taking Kyle Wilson. Reason why I want him is because on the other side of Rodgers-Cromartie, they don't have anybody. They desperately need somebody to cover the other side of the field and push Bryant McFadden to NB.

45. I think the phone calls are from teams
letting the players know they are going to draft them. So far, I'm 100% correct in terms of predicting the team's next picks which are when they are on the clock the players that have tears flowing. Okung was probably receiving a call from the team that was drafting him based on the tears.

And yes, not expected until one recalls Singeltary's comment that he wanted to be able to run the ball when the other team knew they had to run the ball.

Ball control is the greatest defense. Smash-mouth offense is coming to the Bay Area.

71. getting annoyed with the NFL.com coverage
the studio team keeps talking over the picks. I know it's the late 2nd round, but I want to see the picks, not listen to their BS.

I also don't need to keep seeing the Tebow interview. I've seen it. Move on. There are 58 other guys who've been picked so far who they could talk to or about. Shut up about him.

And I wish they'd go back to the on-site team.

73. not for me
I don't have cable/satellite - so, I can only watch what's streamed online, which seems to be NFL.com.

As much as I was complaining about the studio team, now the on-site team is talking over the picks just as much. Apparently the later rounds, they somehow figure that the fans would rather listen to their constant babble than actually know who the picks are.

I'm tracking the picks on espn.com while watching the live coverage on nfl.com.

81. my team had only one pick so far (the Bears)
picked up S Major Wright-FL.

I don't know much of anything about him.

I know safety is a major need for the Bears, so that's a good thing.

I'm really concerned about the lack of work on the Bears' part on doing anything about the disaster that was the offensive line last year. Nothing at all, afaik.

They'll still struggle if they don't give Forte, Taylor and Cutler some help - protect Cutler and open some holes for Forte and Taylor to run.

85. so,,,
the Bears finally get an o-lineman in the 7th round.

And pick LeFevour in the 6th.

:wtf:

With no o-line and a QB pick, I gotta wonder if they're setting Cutler up to fail.
