Poll question: WILL THE STEELERS TRADE ROETHLISBERGER FOR DRAFT PICK(S)?
If so, today's the day. Ask Santonio Holmes how shy the Steelers are about pulling the trigger for picks to dump a troublesome player.

1. I say no...
..based on what the "experts" say...besides, when all is said and done, I bet the team itself really doesn't hate Ben like they should...they're just saying the right things right now until it blows over.

4. I don't know
Even the most ardent Steeler-haters have to admit the Rooney family is the class of the league...and they're pretty riled over this situation. The team may not hate him, but Art II wouldn't piss on his QB right now if Ben was on fire in front of him.

2. Right now, no idea
But there are some differences between Santanio and Ben, but it's not related to the degree of their misconduct.

First off, if the Steelers do trade Ben, it'll suck, don't get me wrong. Franchise qb's with his size and ability don't come around often.

But, by the same token, one man doesn't make the team. The Steelers are more than just a football team to the people of Pittsburgh.

Santonio was going into his contract year. He would demand big bucks to stay. They apparently didn't feel he was worth what Santonio would have wanted.

3. At this point, who wants him for what the Stillers are asking?
You gonna trade a top-ten pick for that much bad PR?

5. Oakland has never been shy about picking up trouble players
And St. Louis is not in a position to be picky...pardon the pun.

11. Reports are that the Raiders don't want to give up what the Steelers are asking
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/22/report-raiders-steelers-reached-a-quick-impasse-on-big-ben/

I heard was that the Cardinals were inquiring.

My guess is that he won't be traded because no one wants to give up that much for toxic property..

7. I'm from L.A.
We are well acquainted with Mr. Davis.

And I think it's getting to be almost a cliche to keep bringing up the Raiders every time some criminal needs a job.

9. Criminal?
Worthlessburger's actions may have been lewd, rude, and crude, but no charges have been pressed, and he was most certainly not convicted of anything, so to call him a criminal seems a little inappropriate.

10. Sorry. "Suspected Rapist."
Or would you prefer "Alleged Rapist"?

12. Calling it right now - Roethlisberger to the Browns.
Though for not as much as what Pitt is asking for.

17. They should sell him to the Cowboys for cash and a hockey player
With the Cowboys, he can continue in the fine tradition of Michael Irvin.
