1. Heh! The Ohio State University is concerned more in excellance and
winning Big Ten championships.

Iowans apparently are more interested in huffing.

8. LOL, mad.
I'm trying to find that picture from 'Blue Velvet'. The character played by Dennis Hopper is 'huffing' while he gazes at, I believe, Natasha Kinski. Or Isabelle Ruppert. Somebody. Anyhow. Picture me.

10. Fuck, mad. I've got to find that picture.
I will. By the way. The cover story in the Iowa City Press Citizen sports section. Pryor ignores Heisman talk. I'd say your lad is the frontrunner. Can't wait to see him here.

15. Yup. After that win against Oregon.
I believe you guys got a great shot at the championship. A couple of stumbling blocks. One loss could take it, though.

14. So. What happened?
I can pretty much guarantee this is Iowa's last shot at glory. Just passed a law changing the drinking age to 21 in bars. Trying to crack down on the kids. I'm 50, irish. Tell me something. Exactly when does somebody forget what it was like to be 18?

17. long story short
the parties got out of control and an annual parade turned into an annual riot. Then the party ordinance passed. It's still a fun place to be though for a school of its size in the middle of nowhere.

22. I thought you were around 70..
:wtf:

It's been 21 everywhere for the last 20 years.

That explains why you are a Notre Dame Amish apologist and want them to get in the Big 10. ND belongs in the MAC.

My father. Dead. An Alabama grad. But rooted for ND. Even against his alma mater. A very stubborn Irishman.

33. See. That's the problem with ND joining the Big 10. I don't want religion
injected in football. Just like I would not want Bob Jones University to join the Big Ten, I would not want ND joining the Big 10.

38. Ohio was always among the top party schools in those days...
a rather dubious honor since the term "party school" usually translates to activities not associated with learning -- like, extreme drinking. By senior year I was freaking about getting a commercial portfolio together so my wild ways were curtailed. I was probably on Court Street for a while but split before the usual street riot started.

I loved those days -- what a great time to be 21.

39. To the priveleges of youth, Auggie.
I'm not one for reunions and such rehashing get-togethers, however, I do cherish the memories of those days. They were not nearly the greatest days of my life. But they were sure a good time.

The Princeton Review is how I landed at the University of Dayton. Back in '77 it rated UD as one of the top party schools in the country. And they were right. No regrets.

There is a lot of bars and clubs near Mill Avenue in Tempe so there is quite a bit of partying going on.

Penn St is #1
Iowa is #12
