Broncos Trade Brandon Marshall to Dolphins
Edited on Wed Apr-14-10 12:19 PM by JonLP24
The Miami Dolphins had sat mostly quiet through much of the off-season, their surprise American Football Conference East championship little more than a year ago fading quickly. The Patriots reclaimed the spot atop the division with the return of Tom Brady and the Jets stockpiled a roster of big names after a shocking run to the A.F.C. championship game in January.

On Wednesday, the Dolphins finally joined the arms race, trading for Denver receiver Brandon Marshall, who had been a headache -– but a really productive one -– for Coach Josh McDaniels. In exchange, the Broncos will receive the Dolphins’ second-round pick in next week’s draft and their second rounder in the 2011 draft. With Braylon Edwards (Jets), Santonio Holmes (acquired by the Jets Sunday night), Randy Moss (Patriots) and now Marshall, the A.F.C. East might have more downfield firepower than any other division.

1. The Pats will be lucky if they don't finish third in the division.
The division has gotten pretty tough in the last couple seasons, and next year should be a fun ride.

3. Our number one need this off season
and we scored big time.

Let's hope Parcell's can keep the guy out of trouble.

BTW: If we pick up Dez Bryant in the draft....well.....:-)

4. I think with their first pick

They'll go OLB or TE if they are confident in Jermaine Gresham abilities despite the injury but he is expected to go in the 20's. I'm not sure at the moment what other needs they got but with Brandon Marshall I feel the cover their need at WR, at least enough to not use a 1st rounder on a WR. Brandon Marshall should be able to open up things a lot for Davone Bess who is progressing nicely for an un-drafted player.

2. Tim Tebow is visiting Dove Valley today.
For the non-Broncomaniacs, Dove Valley is the Broncos training site in Centennial.

7. The AFC East is the new home of the star receiver with
off the field or attitude issues. Just ask Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Randy Moss and Terrell Owens.

12. The local police can pre-program his address on their GPS
so it will be easier to respond to the domestic violence calls. He is a hell of a receiver, though.
